———————
Integrative wellness represents a comprehensive approach to mental health, embodying a philosophy that addresses not just immediate concerns, but also the broader spectrum of an individual's mental well-being. At the core of our philosophy, we prioritize a focus on both acute needs and the pursuit of short-term and long-term mental health goals. This holistic view treats the individual as a whole, integrating aspects of physical, psychological, relational, purposeful, and spiritual health to achieve optimal mental health functioning and potential.
Our approach to integrative wellness centers on providing essential skills to navigate the complexities of human experiences—be it stress, anxiety, relationship dynamics, or health maintenance. We employ traditional psychotherapy treatments, leveraging evidence-based modalities like Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. These therapies are selected for their proven effectiveness in fostering mental resilience and emotional well-being.
In addition, we offer holistic health coaching, a vital component of our integrative wellness model. This coaching focuses on mind-body integration and fitness, creating specifically tailored programs to meet personal, professional, and relational goals and aspirations. Our coaching is designed not just to address current issues but to equip clients with the tools and strategies to maintain and enhance their wellness in all life domains.
Furthermore, our clinically proven behavioral health programs are a cornerstone of our services. These programs are built on foundational coping skills and holistic health solutions, and are influenced by the latest research and developments in Neuroscience, Integrative Psychology, and Behavioral Health Sciences. They are crafted to encourage proactive lifestyle maintenance, ensuring that each individual we work with is equipped to lead a balanced and fulfilling life.
Our integrative wellness approach is more than just a set of services—it's a commitment to the overall well-being of each individual we serve, helping them realize their fullest potential in every aspect of life.

The decision to pursue therapy is an important and personal one. Our first appointment is often dictated by the severity of your concerns and issues. Most often, I will encourage you to jump right in and start discussing what is most bothersome in your present situation. In addition to addressing your concerns, we will often gather historical and familial information to develop a better understanding of your health and wellness needs and to develop a plan that fits your desired goals. We will evaluate if you need additional services such as Medication Therapy, Wellness Coaching, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Therapy, or other treatments that might be applicable to you. We will often review your intake forms and symptom checklist which will have been made available to you for your completion before the start of your first appointment.
If our schedules allow, I will initially encourage weekly or biweekly counseling or coaching sessions to ensure that we are meeting your immediate needs and progressing toward your desired goals and outcomes. However, the frequency and duration of your counseling or coaching appointments will be at your complete discretion, as you will be managing your own time and schedule using our online scheduling site.
Finally, although our first appointment is an opportunity for me to learn current and historical information about you, and to gain a better understanding of your mental health and wellness goals, it is also a time for you to evaluate me as a therapist and coach, and to see if the services that I provide will be a good fit for you. I welcome any questions that you may have about me—both professionally and personally. If you are interested in learning more about how I manage my own life stressors and complexities, I am happy to share my own health and wellness practices with you.

I can help you define, sort-out, prioritize and develop your goals; however, therapeutic goals are ultimately determined and driven by you. Unlike many other relationships and friendships, our time together is about you and the focus will be kept on you. The sessions will be driven by the topics that you feel are of most importance to you. I will help facilitate and direct the sessions through questioning and exploration, but ultimately it will be up to you to decide what areas of your life that you would like to work on, change, accept or explore more deeply. I will help you do this by encouraging honesty, transparency, self-acceptance, commitment and engagement in your therapeutic work. At times you may not know what to say or talk about; these can be the most rewarding and enriching sessions. It is during these times that we can learn more about your inner self by allowing your unconscious, unplanned and nondirective thoughts and feelings to come out. Remember, there is no right or wrong topic in therapy.

Everything we discuss is confidential under the American Counseling Association’s professional code of ethics and Washington State law. Only two circumstances can allow me to break confidentiality: 1) if you sign a consent form allowing me to discuss your case, or 2) if you confide in me that you are about to harm yourself or another person.
The fit between a client and therapist is one of the most critical elements to ensuring a successful therapeutic outcome. I work from a genuine, nonjudgmental, respectful, collaborative and curious point of view. My role is not to judge you, shape your morals, assign guilt or tell you what you should or should not be doing. My objective is to help you discover the blockages in your life and to help you incorporate strategies for living the life you wish to enjoy. I can help facilitate change through exploring the ways in which you think, behave and feel, but I do not have all the answers for you.
Your role is to find those answers by engaging in the therapeutic process by committing yourself and your time to focusing on you. Creating this type of personal accountability and structure can help you to become more self-aware, accepting, honest, self-reliant and peaceful. This type of personal dedication can help you reclaim yourself, move past the areas in your life that are creating stagnation and help you to thrive again in the areas of your life most important to you. Your involvement and personal commitment directs the outcome of your therapy. Change does not come easily, but it does come and you are worth the effort.
Lastly, because many of us change through our encounters with people and the world around us, I take a relational approach when working with clients. I believe our relationship holds great value. It can help us to gain insight into how you relate to others and how others relate to you; it can help us to explore and construct healthy boundaries; and, it can serve as a vehicle for you to develop secure relationships in your personal and professional life.
